From inception to now, we are driving the standards in Web3
Jul 2019
Out of the ocean
The team at Keyko was the core engineering team at Ocean Protocol. By July 2019 we had designed, built, and deployed Pacific, Ocean Protocol’s V1.0 release, a data sharing solution successfully funded for $30M+.

Keyko is born
After delivering Ocean Protocol to mainnet, the team grabbed the opportunity to build an organization with the vision to drive mass adoption of decentralized technologies in September 2019, they called it Keyko.
Sep 2019
To build new Web3 networks
Shortly thereafter, in September 2019, Keyko began collaborating with Celo’s network “cLabs”, by contributing development capabilities and expertise to help build the core network.
Apr 2020
Keyko delivers Celo mainnet
Keyko successfully launches Celo’s fully decentralised network to mainnet and signs long-term agreement by Q3 2020.
Jul 2020
Fil+ brought to mainnet
Keyko signs agreement with Filecoin, delivering Fil+ (the latest version of Filecoin) to mainnet by October 2020. Filecoin traded at a $120 Billion fully-diluted valuation shortly after the mainnet launch.
Nov 2020
Nevermined is born
Borrowing from Ocean protocol’s technology stack, Keyko built the world’s first enterprise-grade ecosystem that incentivises data collaboration in the form of Nevermined.

Bancor V2 Launched
Keyko achieved full-stack web3 implementation for Bancor, and contributed in adding a DAO-like voting functionality based on their vBNT token.
2021
Keyko’s biggest year of growth
The team became more closely integrated with Filecoin, Celo, and Murmuration labs. Keyko reaches 50 employees and partnership with Murmuration labs begins. MVP delivered for Humanity Cash. In Q4, Keyko began working with E.ON energy (UK) on developing their carbon-credits marketplace.

Long-term Celo deal, start of work with E.ON and Near Foundation
By mid 2021, Celo agreed to work long-term with Keyko. In August, Keyko formed a partnership with Near Foundation to aid in its ecosystem development.
2022
Nevermined became independent and Keyko moved deeper into the world of DeFi
Keyko delivered a minimum viable product for E.ON Energy, with an NFT carbon credits marketplace as well as working with Seatlab, shipping Autonomies a decentralised marketplace for music and completing the migration of Nevermined to an independent AG.
We began work with masa.ai to help in their mainnet launch and development of a soul-bound token. In July, Keyko built out the capacity for NFT-backed loans for Aave.
July 2022
Delivered E.ON MVP Carbon Credits marketplace
Keyko completed work with E.ON energy on developing their carbon-credits marketplace showing the power of Web3 and how it can disrupt and revolutionise existing solutions.
Dec 2022
Nevermined takes off
Nevermined raised $3m in funding. By July 2022 becomes distinct entity from Keyko, but remains a strategic partner.
End the end of 2022 Nevermined launched with the help of Keyko engineers six projects (including VitaDAO - world’s first intellectual property NFT transaction and E.ON’s carbon credit marketplace)

Masa goes live
The ability to buy .soul names lays the foundations for soulbound tokens and a multiple of business cases where individuals can create a digital identity, enabling decentralised access to financial products and other Web3 services.
2023
Delivery of QuaiPay to Quai
Quai Network is a crypto blockchain that achieves limitless scalability without sacrificing security and decentralization. Keyko built QuaiPay, a mobile based application to send and receive QUAI tokens.

Mode - The Modular DeFi L2
Keyko selected by Mode to architect, build and deploy their new Ethereum based L2 on the Optimism Stack - Mode is an emerging L2 rewarding people for growing the network via new economic mechanisms and a valuable addition to the Optimism Superchain.
